For many of us alcohol becomes a bad habit that builds up over time and we still want to be able to drink socially but wish we had more control over the amount, and possibly the frequency of our drinking.  The Alcohol Reduction Programme is specifically designed to alter your attitude toward drinking and to change the habit and get you back in control.


If the answer is 'yes' to any of the following, alcohol could be becoming a problem for you:

You regularly drink over the recommended limit of 14 units per week.

You drink every day.

You're gaining weight because of your alcohol consumption.

You binge drink or drink regularly on your own.

Drinking is affecting your sleep.

You reach for a drink to deal with stress, boredom, anxiety or to blot out emotions you don't want to face.

You have a strong desire to drink.

You feel out of control with your drinking.

You get angry/sad or offend people when you're drunk.

Your friends &/or family have expressed concern about your drinking levels.

You're worried about your long term health.

The Alcohol Reduction Programme is NOT for alcoholics. But if you have answered 'yes' to any of the above or if you feel that alcohol is interfering with your life in a negative way (causing procrastination, lack of motivation, stress, anxiety, low confidence or depression), then controlling and reducing your intake can help you.

The aim of this programme is to enable you to break the emotional habit of reaching for alcohol. Transforming this habit is possible by using powerful hypnotic techniques to re-train the subconscious mind (which is our habit control centre).

Willpower alone is using mainly the conscious part of your mind. The subconscious part of the mind is where thought patterns, beliefs and habits are stored and this is where more powerful and lasting change can be made.


During hypnotherapy we communicate directly with this part of the mind and are able to replace bad habits or unhelpful thought patterns with good habits and empowering positive thoughts. This helps you to create powerful positive change and new healthy habits in your life that will last.

We are a nation and culture of drinkers and so it may be unrealistic to expect people to stop drinking completely (unless you want to) but this programme is designed to help you to reduce your alcohol intake to a more moderate and acceptable level and to give you control over your drinking. This programme can also be used to become a happy teetotaller if this is your goal.

The programme consists of three sessions with me, normally taken once per week over a three-four week period. An audio MP3 recording is also included in the package and should be listened to at least once per day. This is an important part of the treatment and alongside the  three actual sessions, will help reinforce the formation of new neural pathways in the brain. A session of RTT  (Rapid Transformational Therapy) may be advised prior to starting this programme, depending on your unique situation.
